Do you have a VW ? Affected by the altered emissions scandal ? Then read on ...
VW will face a class action law suit in the UK with 10,000 owners represented by law firm Harcus Sinclair, which is asking for £30m in compensation, or £3000 for each owner.
The law firm says that VW should compensate owners of the affected vehicles, which could also include cars from SEAT, Skoda and Audi.
The news follows calls from consumer groups for the company to compensate owners, after VW's settlement of £14.1 bn with owners in the UK , a recall saw fixes to the affected cars, but some owners are saying that wasn't enough as they feel they were misled when buying.
The US took a more proactive approach and as result, seven EU countries (including the UK) face the threat of legal action from the European Commission for failing to punish car manufacturers using questionable techniques to pass emissions tests exposed by the scandal.
